Sampling and Analysis - International Mining Magazine

IMA Engineering is one of the first companies to integrate X-ray Fluorescence (XRF) technology into the drill core analysis process. Together with our partners from Mine On-Line Service we developed and produced the Nordic region’s first mobile core scanner prototype more than seven years ago.

Ilpo Auranen, Chairman of IMA Engineering, has been recently interviewed by the International Mining Magazine on the topics of drill core analysis and analyze while drilling with IMA Blast hole Sampler-Analyzer robots.

You can read the full interview with Ilpo Auranen in this month’s online edition of International Mining Magazine on page 68-69.

What is IMA Engineering?

IMA Engineering has used on-line sensors for analyzing ore and waste rock in mining for over 25 years. Today IMA on-line sensors are used in various stages of the mining process including on-line analysis of drill cores, drill chips, ore, and waste in loader buckets, ROM ore analysis on conveyor belts and in bulk ore sorting, as well as slurry analysis in concentrators.
