ITERAMS meeting - Vilamoura, Portugal, May 2018
The first annual ITERAMS project meeting was organized by SOMINCROR in Vilamoura, Portugal between 28 and 31 of May 2018. The meetings, mine, and concentrator visits were very interesting and a great learning experience for the whole team.
After the meeting, we can see the opportunities and challenges the ambitious ITERAMS project presents.
Different nationalities with diverse academic backgrounds start to be a team. "I’m very happy to be part of this experience and the Team. Thank you very much Mark, Inês, and Moacir for the excellent arrangements!" said Jukka Raatikainen, CEO of IMA Engineering.

What is IMA Engineering?
IMA Engineering has used on-line sensors for analyzing ore and waste rock in mining for over 25 years. Today IMA on-line sensors are used in various stages of the mining process including on-line analysis of drill cores, drill chips, ore, and waste in loader buckets, ROM ore analysis on conveyor belts and in bulk ore sorting, as well as slurry analysis in concentrators.
